Electronic device tracking tags are useful but not always convenient. Many of them require you to buy the tag first, then you have to buy a way to connect the tag to whatever you want to track.
SAMSUNG Galaxy SmartTag2 – Everything you need to know!
Samsung just released the SmartTag2 line, which could help with that problem. The design of the SmartTag has changed. They now have a meta-reinforced ring-shaped design for attaching to bags and luggage. Of course, there are some other upgrades as well, including a new Lost Mode and upgrades to Compass View and other features.
The new Lost Mode lets users associate their contact information with the tag, so that if someone else finds it, the finder can scan the tag with their smartphone. This works with any phone with an NFC reader and a web browser to view those details. For example: "This means that a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached to a pet's collar is now a convenient way to ensure that the pet owner's phone number is always present, in most places where the pet might wander," Samsung said in the release announcing the SmartTag2.
Other improvements include updates to Compass View and the SmartThings Find app. For those using Samsung smartphones, Compass View provides direction arrows and distances to help locate your SmartTag2. The SmartThings Find app lets you add a shortcut to your screen and view the map in full screen.
