Samsung launched the Wallet platform last year, bringing the patented digital payment and data storage service to 21 countries.
Samsung Wallet supports payments, in 13 additional countries this year
Now, that list is expanding to eight, as the company has just announced a global rollout of its Wallet service. The new countries on Samsung’s bestie list are Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. Countries like the United States, England, Vietnam and Denmark already had access to the service.
“When Samsung launched Samsung Wallet last year, we committed to creating an experience through open partnerships with our businesses and service providers, and ensuring that as many people as possible have access to the platform,” said Jeanie Han, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at Mobile eXperience Business, Samsung Electronics.
