Samsung's latest gaming monitor launches today, bringing sharper detail and more vibrant colors to both PC and console games.
Samsung Odyssey G7 Settings Guide – Gaming, Multimedia and Office Work
Samsung’s Odyssey line of gaming monitors has been expanding steadily, with a new Odyssey Neo G7 43-inch model hitting store shelves today (physically and digitally). It offers both high-resolution and performance visuals, along with a number of features normally only found in smart TVs.
This new HDR flat screen addition to the Odyssey series can handle up to 4K resolution in the current 16:9 standard aspect ratio. And since it’s intended to be used for gaming, it also features a 144Hz refresh rate with a 1ms response time, so there should be little to no noticeable lag between button presses and the action on screen.
Inputs for up to two HDMI cables, an Ethernet LAN connection, two USB ports, and a wireless connection option also come as standard. Samsung also says that reflections won’t be an issue thanks to the matte display, while performance and screen distortion should be kept to a minimum (unless the game itself is experiencing internal issues).
