Beauty blogger and hair bestie Matt Newman can't keep up with his go-to tricks for a stunning blowout look. The content creator shares his top tips on how to achieve different blow-dry styles – from those luxurious blow-dry curls to the classic blow-dry with magnetizing volume and curtain bangs to die for.

For any type of blow-dry hairstyle, you will need a hair dryer and a round brush or a blow-dry brush. To create a perfect blow-dry curl, take a small section of your hair and twist it around yourself while using the brush. Blow-dry hair with each twist to achieve a defined curl. Another technique is to rotate the brush through the section, which is easier and helps prevent tangles. Don't forget your texturizing spray before styling so your curls last!

Holding the brush vertically creates beach-wavy elongated ends. You can also try other methods to get beach waves, styling your locks with hot tools or heatless techniques like braiding. Some online users share their own hacks to create wavy locks faster and easier. “I'm too lazy to blow-dry it into a curl with a brush, so I always blow dry the strands with tension and then set them with a roller so that there is still some curl in them,” one person notes. “Don't forget to mention that because you have naturally curly hair, using a blow dryer will help you achieve curls more easily than non-textured people,” adds another.
