This article explains how to set up a junk email filter in your Outlook.com inbox and gives you additional tips for reducing the amount of useless email that actually ends up in your inbox. The instructions in this article apply to Outlook.com and Outlook Online.

To configure the Outlook.com spam filter:

Select View all Outlook settings.

In the Filters section, select the Block attachments, images, and links from anyone not on my Safe Senders and Domains list check box.
