Sharon Pruitt-Young's work ranges from introspective first-person essays to breaking news. During her years as a full-time freelancer, she has covered a range of topics from true crime to breaking news, and has written for a variety of media outlets.
Sharon Pruitt-Young has been working in the online writing and editing world for more than five years. She began her career as a staff writer and later as an editor for Very Real, NBC Universal and Oxygen Network’s (now defunct) award-winning digital destination for millennial women, where she covered everything from technology and pop culture to entertainment and social media. As a freelancer, her work includes The Mary Sue, Looper and other entertainment outlets.
Since ditching my Xbox One, my Nintendo Switch serves most of my gaming needs, and I’ve found myself more than a little sucked into Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2! My PC gaming rig sports a modest GTX 970, which is plenty for basic VR games and whatever indie title I happen to play on Steam. I also spend a lot of time tinkering with InDesign, a long-held love affair dating back to my college days when I ran the university newspaper.
