The long-awaited Gimmighoul Tera Raids are back in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but the biggest highlight of the event is that the odds aren't optimal.
Shiny Gimmighoul raids NOW in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Starting August 8, Chest Form Gimmighoul Tera Raids will be popping up in Scarlet and Violet, ranging from one to five stars, in celebration of the Pokémon World Championships (August 16-18). The five-star raids have a very low chance of encountering Shiny Gimmighoul: one in 4,103.05, as noted by content creator Austin John Plays.
Players including Serebii's Joe Merrick were hoping for higher odds this time around, but unfortunately we're left with the same low Shiny percentage as last year.
The main issue here is that Shiny Gimmighoul and Shiny Gholdengo are exclusive to these Tera Raid events, which have only happened twice since the Gen IX games released. This makes Gimmighoul one of the rarest Shinies, which is great, but the process is long and painful unless you're blessed with incredibly good luck.
