How to Create Custom Slide Layouts in PowerPoint
When you first open PowerPoint, your screen will look like the image above and will contain the following areas:
To add a new slide to your presentation, select Home > New Slide. This adds the Title and Content slide layout. This is the default slide layout and includes placeholders for a title, bullet points, images, and clip art.
If you need a different type of slide, select the New Slide down arrow. This will open a menu of nine different slide layouts. Choose one of these slide layouts to add it to your presentation.
