Special Summons in Solo Leveling: Arise seem too good to be true. You get the thrill of casting 10x Summons for free 15 times and get a taste of what good casts look like. But as you're casting, it's clear that you won't be keeping these items. So what are they for?
Solo Leveling: Arise – Special Summoning Banner
Special Summons are a premium Summon method in Solo Leveling: Arise where you have 15-30 mock rolls of the standard 10x Summons. After completing these rolls, you can pay to keep all 10 rewards from one of the summons, discarding all other sets and losing them.
What’s confusing about this system is that you get 15 mock rolls for free, though the game makes this abundantly clear when it states that you don’t get to keep the items yet. After you’re done, you’re given the option to purchase a Guaranteed Draw, which allows you to select one of the mock rolls to become real, giving you all the items from it. A single Guaranteed Draw costs $29.99, or you can pay for a $9.99 subscription to receive one draw per month. If you don’t pay, you’ll never get any of the rolls in your inventory.
This mix between the free mock rolls and the paywalled draw is the problem for free-to-play players. There is no free-to-play way to get your Special Summons. When the “Time Until Guaranteed Draw” timer runs out, all your mock rolls are erased and you get another 15 mock rolls, not a free ticket as some players expected. You still have to pay for a Guaranteed Draw to select one.
