If you own a mid-range or flagship Samsung phone, you may have access to a new feature that temporarily delivers increased speed and power.
How to Make Any Android Phone Faster in 2023 with This Simple Tip!
Samsung has quietly started rolling out a new feature called RAM Plus, which expands the amount of RAM available on the phone by using 4GB of onboard storage as virtual memory. Windows computers do something similar when they run out of physical memory. The feature was first spotted on Samsung’s high-end Galaxy A52 5G, but according to SamMobile it’s already coming to more flagship and mid-range models, including the recently released Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Smartphones are getting slower as time goes by, so RAM Plus can be a boon for users who are okay with sacrificing some storage for speed. Of course, the feature relies on at least 4GB of onboard storage.
RAM Plus is arriving via a software update, and a full list of supported devices isn't available yet. You can check if the feature is working on your Galaxy device in the Battery submenu of Settings.
