Sony's hefty (and somewhat confusing) pricing change for its PlayStation Plus subscription service promises access to hundreds of games, but some gamers are shying away from the $18-per-month cost for the Premium subscription.

For those budget-conscious gamers, Sony has started offering a free trial, allowing people to try out the Premium and Extra subscriptions for a week. That’s the good news. The bad news? According to EuroGamer, this free trial is only available to European residents, specifically gamers living in the UK.

However, if you live in the UK and want to play the recently released cat simulation/adventure game Stray, among many other titles, then signing up for the free trial seems to be pretty easy. The option to do so is clearly marked on the splash page.

These trial periods will not appear if you are an existing PlayStation Plus subscriber, even if you subscribe to the basic Essential plan. Additionally, you will be automatically enrolled in a longer paid subscription if you do not cancel before your seven free days have expired.
