PSVR 2 Review – Is It Worth Buying?
The PlayStation VR is a sleek, futuristic-looking headset that plugs directly into the PlayStation 4 (or Pro) console and sits on your head, immersing you in 360-degree gaming worlds and active play experiences. PC VR headsets like the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift can deliver better graphics and more complex, room-sized experiences at a higher total buy-in price (between headset and PC), but the PlayStation VR still delivers a strong, more cost-effective experience that’s a lot easier to use and enjoy. And it has some of the best VR games out there.
Most VR headsets strap tightly to your head, using spandex/velcro to ensure the headset doesn’t slide down into your face while in use. PlayStation VR takes a very different, but smarter, approach.
Instead of using straps, the PlayStation VR sits on top of your head, with the visor hanging down in front of your eyes. It has a well-cushioned, rubber ring that fits around your head. Once you find the right position, a small dial on the back locks it in place, tightening the strap just enough to keep it in place.
