The real world is full of problems big and small, so why not dive into the virtual world for a little relaxation?
THE FUTURE OF PSVR2 // Best New VR Games for 2024
That’s what Sony is banking on with its upcoming PSVR2 headset, and the company has just revealed some key features coming to the PS5-like refresh. For one, the virtual reality headset will support livestreaming with the addition of a PS5 camera, without the need for green screens or capture hardware.
This likely makes the headset attractive to Twitch streamers, YouTube content creators, and anyone else looking to show off their latest experiences in VR.
Sony is also addressing the use of non-VR content with the headset with something it calls "Cinematic Mode." This mode allows the PSVR2 to display whatever's running on the PS5 across a large 1080p virtual screen, with refresh rates up to 120Hz. This should be useful for playing standard games in VR, watching movies, and tweaking system settings without having to take off the headset.
