Philippine Airlines, owned by billionaire Lucio Tan, has apologized to passengers affected by the latest series of flight disruptions.

The national carrier realized that the changed travel plans caused frustration and asked for patience and understanding. At the same time, the airline promised to address the situation and help passengers rebook their flights.
PAL’s latest statement was released in response to a Facebook post by ACT-CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo regarding the several canceled flights scheduled for June 22. The former social welfare chief urged travelers booked with PAL and Cebu Pacific to postpone their travel plans or consider alternative airlines amid the flight chaos.
"We would like to express our sincere apologies to our passengers who have been affected by the recent changes in flight schedules. Our team at Philippine Airlines is fully aware of the inconvenience this has caused and we are working diligently to address the situation," PAL wrote on Tulfo's Facebook page.
