Does Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 have ultrawide support? That’s the question on the minds of PC gamers with ultrawide monitors. Look no further. Here’s what users of 21:9 or 32:9 monitors need to know about playing Space Marine 2 in widescreen format, and whether there’s a mod that can help you get the feature.

Unfortunately, there is currently no definitive, universal widescreen solution for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The good news, however, is that according to the official roadmap shared by the developers on Steam, the Year One Battle Plan includes a free update adding Ultrawide support in Season 1 (2024). There is no exact release date yet, but thankfully players won't have to wait too long to get their hands on this option, as it is coming in September. Until then, if you've purchased the game, you'll have to play with black bars on the sides.

In addition to ultrawide support, there are two additions players can expect in September: private PVE lobbies and the Battle Barge Sparring Arena.

For players who can’t wait for the feature to be added natively, there is a mediafire link that has been shared in the community, but download it at your own risk as there is a chance you will be banned by Valve Anti-Cheat if you use it for online mode. Since the official version is coming out this month, we strongly recommend against using any third-party mods. Instead, go for the version that has been tested by the developers.
