If you’re like me, you turn on the radio (or, these days, Spotify) when you leave your pets home alone. I usually turn on a local radio station (via TuneIn, of course), but I can totally get behind the new pet-centric playlist feature that Spotify has offered for anyone with a beloved friend.
Spotify Pets Playlist 2024 | How To Make A Pets Playlist On Spotify
If you go to Spotify’s Pet Playlist page, you’ll see the option to choose which type of pet you’d like to create a playlist for: dog, cat, hamster, lizard, or bird. You’ll then be guided through a series of questions about your pet, describing their personality with a few sliders. Is your pup laid-back or energetic? Shy or friendly? Apathetic or curious?
You can then upload a photo of your beloved furry, feathered or scaled friend and give them a name. Spotify will then collect your responses, add your own account preferences and come up with a fun little playlist to play for your pet.
While I’m not sure my beagle, Gus, is a big fan of upbeat 60s rock, that’s the playlist Spotify has come up with. I certainly enjoy it. Considering the joy we get from sharing photos of our domestic creatures, this might be a fun thing to do with them. If nothing else, maybe your hamster will be a little less lonely (and a lot cooler) when you go to work every day.
