Scopely brings Galaxy Quest officers and the Protector ship to Star Trek Fleet Command to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic parody film.
Update 69: Galaxy Quest Crossover Patch Notes | Star Trek Fleet Command
Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) has had a nearly six-year run as a mobile game. New events and content have been released over time, but there have been no crossovers—until now. On August 6, four officers and the NSEA Protector from the film Galaxy Quest will be revealed in Star Trek Fleet Command. According to Scopely's Conor Crowley, the crossover is meant to be fun while "staying true to the spirit of both" the franchise and the film.
New storylines within Star Trek Fleet Command from the crossover include the "Sarris Invasion" and the new Chimera creature type, according to Scopely. Some of the Galaxy Quest crew will join the Officer class type, along with the NSEA Protector as a Ship type.
Thanks to Jason Nesmith, the Protector accidentally crashes through the space-time continuum, putting the Galaxy Quest crew in the sights of the Fatu-Krwy and Orion ships. The crew attempts to use the Omega 13, which takes them back in time instead of home, where the newly assigned STFC officers encounter Captain James T. Kirk and the USS Enterprise.
