With the arrival of a new update, many are wondering which Stardew Valley mods are compatible with 1.6. Usually when a new version comes out, especially one that changes things up drastically, many mods break, and players are forced to wait for modders to work on compatibility. However, creator ConcernedApe has released a list of 1,000 Stardew Valley mods that work with 1.6 – here's what you need to know.

Head over to smapi.io/mods and browse through compatible and incompatible mods and content packs. A troubleshooting guide is also available on the page, in case a mod doesn’t work after following the instructions on the list. In the tweet, the developer also adds that they’ve added a public Steam branch, which will allow you to stay on version 1.5.6 if you want. However, they recommend trying out 1.6 without mods.

Stardew Valley mods are a great way to add new content and features to the game, or change the look and feel of it. There are mods available for just about anything you can think of, from adding new crops and animals to changing the difficulty of the game.
