Steam users now finally have the ability to record and share their gameplay across the platform. This feature comes as a surprise, as Steam announced its Game Recording feature and made it available to all Steam users right away.
Steam Game Recording Beta | COMPLETE GUIDE | Brand New AWESOME Features!
The new Game Recording feature allows players to record, replay, clip, and of course share all of their gameplay footage on Steam. While it may sound basic, Steam takes these basic features to the next level with the Steam Timeline. Forgot what an NPC said but don’t want to go through hours of footage? Steam will mark it for you. Want to see where you died while searching for that lucrative piece of armor? Steam will mark it for you.
You can of course mark things for yourself with Player Markers, but Steam saves you the trouble of doing that. This won't work in all games, but we think it will work for the most popular games on the platform and for upcoming games as well.
You can also quickly share your clips to your phone or other device for viewing. So if your friends can’t believe you got that armor or beat that boss, send the clip straight to them.
