Shift Up’s Stellar Blade first debuted in April 2024 as a PS5 exclusive, and the addictively fun dress-up ARPG became a bestseller, selling over 1 million copies and earning solid reviews praising its hyper-polished gameplay. With that success under its belt, Shift Up is reportedly looking to bring its first-ever IP to PC soon, with ambitions of it performing even better on that platform.
Where did she hide it?
Stellar Blade burst onto the scene in the first quarter of 2024, quickly claiming the title of best-selling game in North America after its April launch. As players embarked on their post-apocalyptic adventures with Eve, the clean-cut ARPG provided developer Shift Up’s revenue a major boost, as the mobile game developer reported that the game contributed $19 million to its coffers. This led to a record-breaking 65% increase in total revenue for Shift Up this year as of Q2, and Stellar Blade shows no plans to slow down.
About a month after launch, the game surprised fans with its first content patch, which added Boss Rush Challenge Mode and even more outfits to customize Eve with. Additionally, Shift Up has stated that they have even more DLC content (and even more outfits) planned for Stellar Blade, along with a full-fledged sequel.
While it may seem strange that subsequent updates for the game have yet to appear, it’s likely due to a surprise leak that Stellar Blade will be arriving on PC soon. As posted by the ever-reputable ‘Genki’ over on X (formerly Twitter), not only is the game slated for an upcoming PC release, but Shift Up believes it will perform even better on the secondary platform.
