Following his rousing performance at the Democratic National Convention, Stevie Wonder has released a song that couldn't be more timely: "Can We Fix Our Nation's Broken Heart." The song follows the themes of his speech at the DNC, in which he urged the audience to get involved and seize the pivotal moment the country and the world currently find themselves in.
“I know how important action is,” Wonder, 74, told the crowd. “Now is the time to understand where we stand and what it takes to win: win the brokenhearted, win the disillusioned, win the angry spirits — now is the time.
“This is the moment to remember when you tell your children where you were and what you did… We must choose courage over complacency. It’s time to stand up!” he said, his tone changing to admonishing, “and vote!”
