On April 16, VALORANT players on Reddit shared their weapon choices for a save round. While the names of nearly all of the popular cheap weapons appeared in the comments, the Stinger and Sheriff were, unsurprisingly, the clear winners, with players praising their reliability in most situations.

The Stinger costs 1,100 credits and is a low-recoil submachine gun that can deal decent damage to the head and body, making it a great choice for close quarters combat. Many players, even pros like TenZ, find it overpowered due to how accurate it can be, even when running and gunning.

The Stinger is useless in ranged combat, though many players favor the sniping capabilities of its alternate fire mode. The Sheriff, on the other hand, is a tried-and-true save round weapon, whether in ranged or head-on combat. It also costs less, allowing you to land the most satisfying headshots for a mere 800 credits.
