If you love community fitness, Strava just released a new feature that makes it even easier to connect with the community.
Strava messages: everything in 2 minutes!
Strava Messaging is designed to let you communicate with the other athletes you’re connected to, right from within the app, without having to switch to a separate messaging app. One of the clear benefits of the new feature is the ability to share activity plans or progress with your connections.
You don’t have to use Strava’s messaging features if you’d rather not, but if you do, you’ll need to enable it in Settings. There, you’ll have three options: Following, which lets you message anyone who follows you; Mutuals, which lets only people who follow each other message you; and Nobody, which makes it impossible for anyone to message you first, so you’ll have to initiate the conversation.
“Our goals are to bring you the features you love and always make sure that safety comes first. So send those DMs, start those Strava group chats, and make those weekend plans,” the company wrote in the blog post announcing the new feature.
