Streamer and content creator Norme has been banned from Twitch and other platforms after trying to stay awake for 12 days. After going 240 hours without sleep, he is now aiming for a world record for the "longest sleep stream".
Norme ended his waking journey at around 265 hours, or more than 11 days without sleeping a wink. He probably wanted to break the previous world record of Randy Gardner, who went 264 hours and 24 minutes without sleeping in late 1963.
While there have been other reports of people depriving themselves of sleep for extended periods of time, Norme said he did not use stimulants, unlike those who reportedly did and stayed awake for significantly longer periods of time. The streamer was banned from Twitch and Kick, forcing him to end his run on Rumble. He is now back on Twitch for a "longest sleep stream" record.
