A player of Baldur's Gate 3 has discovered a hidden Shadowheart dialogue that can be unlocked via a secret Nightsong system embedded in the script. This dialogue can be earned by selecting specific options while befriending the cleric.
Shadowheart's Hidden Score | "Nightsong Points" Explained
Recently we announced several mods that added additional Shadowheart content available through the cut files, adding more dialogue options and some interesting Shar-related content for new playthroughs. Today’s new discovery is even more surprising, as every BG3 player can earn these hidden Nightsong Points to unlock more dialogue options and learn Shadowheart’s secrets.
The player who discovered these Nightsong Points, SlimX, posted a video on their YouTube channel on June 9th detailing how to unlock them, how many you can get each time, and the new dialogues they give you with Shadowheart. If you're a diehard Shadowheart fan, you'll want to do a new playthrough now.
SlimX has deduced from the script that you can earn six Nightsong Points during the moments where Shadowheart's faith is tested. When you have four points, Shadowheart will get an "exclamation mark" above her head and she will begin to question her faith. The next time you go to camp, talk to Shadowheart and you will notice that her body language shows that she is uncertain. You will be given a new dialogue scenario to learn more about her. If you skip this and take a long rest, you will lose access to this interesting background information.
