League of Legends’ newest mode, Swarm, has become so popular in the Public Beta Environment (PBE) that the development team has had to step in and prevent more players from getting their hands on the mode.
So I tried League of Legends: Swarm..
Riot Games' senior engineering manager for League, Riot H28 G Evo, announced yesterday via Twitter/X that PBE servers are "close to our server capacity limits." As a result, developers are closely monitoring the situation and potentially adding queue timers for solo queue players.
Hey #LeagueOfLegends Swarm players on PBE! We’re still seeing a lot of players enjoying Swarm, enough to keep us close to our server capacity limits. To ensure we’re ready for live, we’re rolling out some updates today that may result in queue timers for solo Q players.
However, this shouldn’t be news to players familiar with Riot’s games. The PBE is constantly reaching maximum capacity due to other modes like Teamfight Tactics, especially when the newest set is released on the test server. Riot is simply monitoring the situation to ensure that as many players as possible can play Swarm and that the mode is ready to be deployed to the live servers on its expected release date.
