The Safety Override code is one of the most important codes to find and easily miss in System Shock remake. You can only get it in the lower levels of Citadel Station, you might have accidentally passed by it, only to realize your mistake when faced with the Mining Laser dilemma.
System Shock Remake – Where can I find the reactor level security code?
Most of the codes in the System Shock remake are located in employee logs scattered throughout each Citadel Station level, with no apparent indication of where they can be found. The Safety Override code, however, isn't in any of the files. Instead, it can be found on one of the earliest levels on the station, hidden in plain sight after completing one of the many Cyberspace levels.

You’ll need to complete the entire Medical level first, and use the elevator for direct access to the Research Labs. There’s no specific order to completing objectives in System Shock, so you can head straight to the Library once you load this level. The Library is located on the southeast side of the Research Labs level. The door to it is locked, but the keycard for it is a lot closer than you might initially expect.
