According to a new update, Workspace users can now use Gemini to automatically take notes for them on Google Meet. The feature, which Google has been testing for nearly a year, is now rolling out gradually.
Google Meet Note Taking Extension | Google Meet Will NEVER Be The Same
In a meeting, you will see a new pencil icon in the upper right corner. Click it to open the Take Notes with Gemini option. Then select Start Taking Notes.
Once the meeting ends, the meeting notes will be organized in Google Docs, “attached to the calendar event so attendees within your organization can access it,” and emailed to them.
You can stop taking notes at any time, so that no sensitive information is captured unintentionally. If you are running late for the meeting, you can use the 'Summary so far' option to catch up.
