Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel reassured the concerns over the alleged outbreak of bird flu (AI) in Tarlac, saying the reports have not been confirmed yet.

"There is no confirmation at puro technically 'marites' lang ang nangyayari (and it is usually just technical gossip that happens). So, BAI (Bureau of Animal Industry) has not received an official report of such an outbreak," he said on Tuesday (July 30).
In a separate interview, Agriculture Assistant Secretary Constante Palabrica said BAI has already received blood samples from three farms in Tarlac.
However, he did not specify from which sources the blood samples came.
