The iPad didn't start out as one of Apple's most powerful computers, but now that the iPad Pro shares the same processors as the Mac, there's not much it can't do. Editing video is typically an intensive task, and the iPad Pro handles it with ease. With these apps and an (optional) Apple Pencil, you can get the most out of it.
LumaFusion ($29.99 with in-app purchases) lets you edit high-quality videos with 3 video tracks and three additional audio tracks. That means you can display videos side-by-side or picture-in-picture-in-picture. And of course, you can crop, resize, and position your segments anywhere in your video. LumaFusion also supports Chroma Key, so you can record videos against a green or blue background and then replace the background with other videos — or an image of your choice.
Linea Sketch (free with in-app purchases) offers a sketching app that also supports drawing layers: When you draw on a layer, you can place the layer in front of (or behind) other drawing layers. The app includes various pens, color palettes, and background textures. You can also use a transform tool to cut, copy, and paste parts of your drawing.
