Wuthering Waves has a unique way of pulling special characters and weapons that aren't used in all miHoYo games. In HoYoverse games – Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Honkai Star Rail – players pull from banners that combine characters and weapons, so there's no guarantee you'll get something special from a single pull.

Wuthering Waves offers players at least three separate banners: one that requires you to grab the common Lustrous Tide, a second that requires you to grab the rarer Radiant Tide, and a third that is for weapons only and requires you to grab the Forging Tide.

None of the Genshin or Honkai games have ever had a completely separate weapon banner, requiring a different item than the other banners to activate.
