Protecting your Temple of the Tide in Crab God is key to reaching the deepest depths of the ocean and ensuring that your chosen heir to the Crab God himself survives the journey. However, the deeper you go, the more menacing the threats become, so here's our handy guide to the best ways to protect your Temple of the Tide in Crab God.
Lead your crab colony to success as their crab god! | Crab God
While gathering food in preparation for migration is important in Crab God, protecting the shell-shaped Temple of the Tide that contains it and the Crab God's heir is perhaps even more important. If invasive species find their way into your Temple and destroy it, your migration is over and you'll have to start over.
There are a few different ways to effectively protect the Temple. The most obvious is to assign the Hunter Role to your Crablings (see our guide to assigning roles) when the need arises each night. By choosing Traits that increase stats like health, attack power, and movement speed, your Hunters can quickly eliminate threats before they surround your unarmed Crablings and destroy the Temple.
But more than having Hunters at your disposal, the most vital defense for your Temple is actually your Builder(s). In addition to clearing obstacles and crushing clams, they can build incredibly effective Wall barriers along the path of the stage (as seen above) that significantly slow down enemies and also place Traps to damage enemies that step on them.
