There are currently 14 playable Descendants in The First Descendant. Lepic, Viessa, and Ajax are the three default characters you can choose from at the start of your journey. Keep in mind that any starting Descendants you cast aside in favor of another will not automatically unlock after you make your selection. Instead, all Descendants (except the one you chose to play as) can be purchased through the Store (using Caliber), or crafted using their Research materials via Anais.
This list is ordered from worst to best, with the pros and cons of each Descendant. This list looks at the standard Descendants (no Ultimate character variants). We've ordered the characters from The First Descendant based on their survivability, damage output, usability as a solo or team player (specified per character), and overall difficulty to master.
