Despite mixed reviews from major gaming websites, The First Descendant has grown steadily since its launch, reaching 10 million players.

The news was announced on The First Descendant's official X-page (formerly Twitter), where the developer thanked the growing player base and promised to deliver a great experience.

The First Descendant currently sits at a critics Metascore of 57 (PC), which is less than ideal for a live-service game. Its user score doesn’t fare much better at 5.1. The game has rightly been criticized for its lackluster story, repetitive gameplay, overpriced microtransactions, and taking inspiration from other similar games like Destiny 2 and Warframe. The game has also faced various issues since launch, including a bug where players were unable to receive their purchased in-game currency.

All in all, the game shouldn't have as many players as it does now, but still, more and more players seem to be appreciating Nexon's looter-shooter.
