According to a 2019 report from Oxford Economics, there will be as many as 20 million robots by 2030. New applications for robotics in healthcare, automation, engineering, machine learning and more are contributing to that number, and experts say the future looks bright.
“I like to think about the possibilities that this new technology has to help us live better than we do today,” Wing CEO James Ryan Burgess said during a panel discussion at CES 2021.
There are more than 240 companies that consider themselves in the "robotics" space at CES this year. The sector is growing rapidly, but experts still say there are many hurdles to overcome before we can coexist with robots.
