Solid gold, sports, formal wear: what kind of smartwatch will Apple make next?
Apple Event September 2024! iPhone 16, Apple Watch X + more!
Apple is all set to launch a rugged Apple Watch this year, reports say. That seems like an obvious move. Sports watches are popular not only with athletes, but also with outdoor enthusiasts and those who simply like chunky watches. It’s also time for Apple to diversify its Apple Watch lineup.
“Fashion-focused watches are a good choice, though I prefer to look at more practical options,” Gadget Review CEO Rex Freiberger told Lifewire via email. “I’d like to see a watch that uses Apple’s proposed “panic attack” monitor and really push the idea of creating a model of watch that can be used by people who are neurodivergent.”
Right now, everyone gets the same Apple Watch, with a choice of size, color, and material. Compare that to the iPhone and Mac, which have multiple models. And remember the iPod? Apple has split that line into all sorts of variants, from the tiny Shuffle and Nano to the iPhone-like Touch.
