The M2 Pro and M2 Max versions of the Mac mini and MacBook Pro are coming and you won’t have to wait long.
M2 Pro & M2 Max MacBook Pro Plus new Mac mini! Which one do I get?
Apple has a pair of new MacBook Pro and Mac mini models on the way, along with two upgraded versions of its M2 chip that it also just revealed. And they’re coming out a little earlier than you might expect.
These new MacBook Pro models deliver up to six times the performance for processor-intensive tasks compared to their Intel-based MacBook counterparts. Additionally, Apple expects these new MacBooks to deliver up to 22 hours of battery life thanks to improved power efficiency in the M2 Pro and M2 Max.
In addition to the new silicon, they also support Wi-Fi 6E, can connect to 4K displays (up to 8K) over HDMI, and continue to use Liquid Retina XDR displays. They’ll come in both 14-inch and 16-inch models, and feature a total of three Thunderbolt 4 ports, one SDXC card slot, the aforementioned HDMI port, a headphone jack, and MagSafe 3 charging is built in too.
