The changes coming to Duelists in VALORANT Patch 8.11 have been revealed. These changes could drastically change how often certain agents are used and how effective they can be.
VALORANT NERFT Clove in Patch 8.11
Iso and Neon are definitely winners in this patch, while Raze is definitely a loser, though Reyna’s changes can be interpreted as either a positive or a negative depending on the type of VALORANT player you are. Let’s take a look at how these changes will impact the duelist meta.
Iso’s Double Tap shield is now granted immediately upon activation, instead of requiring a kill or assist to spawn an orb. Getting a kill or assist and then firing an orb still refreshes the buff, and getting two kills in a round grants an extra charge that can be re-cast to fully refresh the shield buff. Iso can only hold one charge of Double Tap instead of two, but it’s now much more valuable.
This change makes Iso the perfect agent for players to swing around corners with, as they start with the shield equipped, removing the situations where Iso activates his window but loses his duel before he even has the shield. Iso is also slowed down less when his shield breaks, allowing him to get a wider angle on an opponent while absorbing damage once. Iso can also snowball more effectively, as he can put a Double Tap recast in his back pocket with two kills.
