The new iPad mini is perhaps the most attractive device Apple has ever made, and one of the most fun to use.

It’s as if engineers in Cupertino took the best bits from the latest iPhones and mashed them together to create a blazing-fast iPad. I’ve been using the new mini for a few days and found it to be a great little tablet for consuming content on the go.
That’s not to say the iPad mini is perfect for everyone. The mini isn’t a productivity powerhouse, and never will be, simply because its 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display isn’t big enough. I won’t be scrolling through spreadsheets or typing out long documents on the mini.
The mini looks like a giant iPhone 13. It feels great in the hand and is perfectly balanced, like a thin hardcover book.
