The sports streaming landscape is pretty messed up. You have standalone apps and apps that have streaming in them, but nothing that is coherent and allows you to keep track of all your sports.
Venu Sports|Coming Soon⁉️
Well, that is, until this fall, when the new Venu sports streaming app is supposed to be available. The website listing the new streaming app makes it seem like the app will cover all sorts of sporting events, including live events and possibly past coverage. And it will be available “built from the ground up” with streaming in mind.
Of course, nothing is set in stone. A note on the site says that the fall 2024 release is subject to FTC approval and that the site is “owned by a subsidiary of Fox Corporation,” but that shouldn’t affect approval. In fact, the Venu streaming app/service is a collaboration between Fox, ESPN, and Warner Bros.
What that means for what you can expect from Venu is still unknown, but according to the initial announcement in February, you can expect content from "NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, College Sports, UFC, PGA TOUR Golf, Grand Slam Tennis, FIFA World Cup, Cycling and many more."
