In a recent stream, xQc claimed that he had to undergo a therapy session with a Twitch employee to get his ban overturned after showing an intimate clip for a few seconds in June 2020.
Go to therapy to get rid of the ban?!
The French-Canadian streamer spoke with Adin Ross and Trainwreck during an April 19 stream. During the conversation, Adin asked for advice on how to get his ban overturned on Twitch, which he was banned in February 2023, shortly after successfully transitioning to rival platform Kick. While Trainwreck claimed that simply speaking to Twitch would get him unbanned, Adin wondered if he should seek therapy.
Despite this being a joke, xQc was quick to jump on it. “They even made me go to therapy once,” he said, claiming he had to “take one session with a Twitch employee, a therapy session to get in touch with them.” Adin Ross and Trainwreck found the revelation funny and asked xQc about the reason for the ban.
"That was the ban because, I think it was a gorilla or something," he replied. XQc had received a one-day ban after watching a YouTube video sent in by a viewer. It started with the familiar Nintendo Gamecube loading animation, but then transitioned into two gorillas getting intimate. The video in question violated the platform's guidelines and, unsurprisingly, he was quickly banned.
