June is shaping up to be a fruitful month for Game Pass owners, as Microsoft continues to spice up the slate with new games. One game in particular is coming to the service next week, though: Callisto Protocol, so you can experience the divisiveness for yourself.
Creatures of Ava – Now Available with Xbox Game Pass
Created by former developers of the Dead Space franchise, including original creator Glen Schofield, Callisto Protocol aimed to be a spiritual successor to the acclaimed series. However, it failed to hook audiences with a lot of jump scares and a lack of what made Dead Space unique and terrifying. Add to that EA’s own remake of Dead Space, which received critical and player praise, and you’ve got a very sad situation. Still, Microsoft saw fit to include it on Game Pass, so you can try it out for yourself starting June 13 on PC and Xbox.
In addition to the controversial horror title, Microsoft will also be adding a host of other games, most of which have much better review scores. At the time of writing, Octopath Traveler 1 and 2 are available to play via Game Pass. Isonzo and Depersonalization will launch alongside The Callisto Protocol on June 13, with Still Wakes the Deep releasing as a Day-One Game Pass title five days later.
Bramble: The Mountain King, High on Life, Rune Factory 4, Spacelines from the Far Out, and The Bookwalker are all disappearing on June 15th, so make sure to check them out before they sell out.
