Australian design firm Pantheone One has just announced a smart speaker with a unique look.
LAVA ROCKS IN YOUR AQUARIUM!! (HIDDEN BENEFITS)
Inspired by the lava rock of the same name, the Obsidian Bluetooth speaker features a striking teardrop design that looks more like a vase or sculpture than a speaker. The Obsidian speaker comes in both black and white with a handcrafted, high-density resin cabinet, according to a press release shared with Lifewire.
Obsidian has packed some serious specs under the hood to match that distinctive design. The speaker features a powerful internal woofer and dual silk dome tweeters, which enhances the nuance of the sound. This wireless speaker integrates with Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Wi-Fi, allowing for direct streaming of Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, Apple Music, and, you know, the rest.
Obsidian speakers connect wirelessly to other speakers, including other Obsidians, to create room-sized sound or play spatial audio tracks. This is also a smart speaker, so it has built-in Alexa functionality for playing music and controlling smart home automation.
