Wasserstein has released a few new accessories for the Blink video doorbell, designed to offer more charging and calling options for the basic doorbell camera.

If you own a Blink video doorbell or are considering purchasing one, Wasserstein has a number of optional upgrades that you might want to consider. These new add-ons, a solar charger and wireless chime, claim to improve the Blink’s performance and usability in their own ways, though together they cost nearly as much as the Blink itself.
The Wasserstein Solar Charger acts as a mount or dock (compatible with two- or three-hole back plates) for the Blink video doorbell. It also claims to be weatherproof, so it can be used with the Blink outdoors in a variety of conditions. And of course, it will draw power from sunlight to keep the Blink doorbell charged, something Wasserstein claims will reduce the Blink’s downtime and the number of battery changes needed to keep it working.
And if you’d prefer your Blink doorbell to behave more like an analog doorbell (i.e., it plays a sound when it rings instead of sending push notifications to your devices), there’s the Wireless Chime. Once plugged in, the Chime will emit an audible tone that can be heard throughout your home, in addition to those push notifications.
