I was one of the first buyers of Apple's AirTags and expected them to radically change my life, but the past three months have been sobering.

It turns out that the AirTags aren’t quite the lost-and-found magic bullet I had in mind. I’ve dutifully attached the tags to a few essentials, and they’ve come in handy a few times. There are a few features I’d like to see Apple improve on with this product.

AirTags seemed like a perfect Apple product when they launched. They promise to track lost items by attaching them to a series of tag holders that Apple sells for nearly the price of the tag itself.

I was amazed by the beautiful design of the AirTag when it first arrived. They are beautifully made and shaped with smooth plastic and metal curves. The AirTag is a pleasure to hold in your hand and looks like a modern talisman with mysterious powers.
