Will Tim Burton make another BATMAN movie? "There's one coming out every week"
Tim Burton was the pioneer of the comic book blockbuster early in his career, directing Michael Keaton in both "Batman" and "Batman Returns" for Warner Bros. However, the filmmaker says he's not interested in a return to superhero films in the current industry, with his focus on long-term continuity and cinematic universes.
"Right now I would say no," Burton tells Variety in a new interview. "I look at things from different perspectives, so I would never say no to anything. But right now it's not something I would be interested in."
The filmmaker, who is promoting his new sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” says he was given a degree of creative freedom and relatively modest studio oversight during production of “Batman” in 1988 in England.
