Tinder announced a new option on Friday that lets users block people based on their phone contacts. According to The Verge, you can use the feature to block your exes, friends, family members, coworkers, or simply anyone you don't want to see in your matches. When you block someone, they won't appear to you, and you won't appear to them.
Tinder says you can upload all of your contacts to the app, or add them individually if you prefer. The company also says it won’t save all of your contacts. Instead, it will only save the contacts you’ve blocked. You can also unshare your contacts or unblock numbers at any time if you want.
Blocked contacts will not be notified that they have been blocked. Tinder has stated that if someone you want to block signs up with different information, they will not be blocked with your contact information.
