Tinder is adding a new Music mode, which works with your Spotify account to automatically play Anthems (songs people choose to represent themselves) on Tinder profiles.
Tinder and Spotify join forces for love
If you’ve ever wanted to hear someone’s chosen Anthem while viewing their Tinder profile, the upcoming Music Mode is for you. Tinder users have been able to select an Anthem they felt suited them best for a while now, but the tracks haven’t previously been set to auto-play on profile pages.
About 40 percent of Gen Z members use Anthems, according to Tinder, and those who do get 10 percent more matches, according to Tinder. Tinder's goal with Music Mode is to make that music taste more shareable, both to find more matches and to make using the app feel like a party.
“It’s amazing how adding music as an extra element of discovery elevates the entire Tinder experience,” Kyle Miller, VP of Product Innovation at Tinder, said in the announcement. “Songs are deeply personal, and Music Mode is a place to discover something new through music.”
