Tom Clancy's The Division 2 starts by instilling a sense of patriotism in a fictional city you've never been a part of. The Division 2 puts you in the shoes of a Strategic Homeland Division, tasked with taking back control from the other factions occupying Washington DC. This feels like a perfect sequel, considering what The Division brought to the table, The Division 2 feels like a worthy successor and the mechanics are spot on.
The Division 2 review
When you start the game, you are tasked with taking down Hyena Agents that are trying to break into the White House. As you progress through the game, you will be doing much the same thing. The entire game revolves around shooting people and upgrading your tech, but the game feels so much more.
The game touches you emotionally on many levels, and takes the edge off. The Division 2 has much more to offer. The devastated city of Washington DC feels like it is gasping for air, as chaos erupts around every corner. People are out on the streets without help, and then some try to make the best of this weakened city to take over. Your job as a Division Agent is to stop the anarchy and take the people responsible with you.
The scale of the destruction is visible, and if you ever watch a documentary about civil war, it feels exactly like that, but you are allowed to participate. It is a terrible atrocity, but it shows how the situation can change in a few days.
