TP-Link AV2000 Powerline Adapter Review | How to Fix Lag with Game Test 2023
The TP-Link AV2000 Powerline Adapter does exactly what it says on the tin, offering users a simple, plug-and-play way to improve their speeds. Crucially, it claims to deliver smooth 4K streaming and gaming across multiple devices, with up to 2000Mbps in possible speed (2Gbps), easily beating standard Wi-Fi range extenders. We put it to the test to see whether it's the ultimate introductory Powerline kit to upgrade your struggling network.
TP-Link’s AV2000 is, unfortunately, a pretty big beast. Sure, it’s packing some powerful tech, so its size makes sense, but it doesn’t make it any easier to handle. It’s top-heavy at 1.9 pounds and has a fair amount of depth, making it a bit of a hindrance to your power outlet no matter where you place it in your home.
It doesn’t fit well with established interior design aesthetics and sticks out like a shiny white sore thumb, especially in your living room. Its size means you shouldn’t be moving it around the house on a regular basis. Its bulk is usually the price you have to pay for improving your network. The only other option is to run a terribly long Ethernet cable through your house, which isn’t an ideal solution.
